By accident I lived a lifestyle that was very pure spiritually and physically. I detached from the common desire world for a time. I learned to love myself and extend that love to others. I was a runner studying character development and I studied nutrition. Runners sweat a lot. This is similar to the purity gained from sweat lodge experiences plus you are out in nature. The book, The Zen of Running, by Fred Rohe, tells much. I encourage everyone to take up an awareness of spirituality that includes general exercise, yoga, meditation and contemplation, study, reading books of wisdom, and listening and viewing audio/visual materials that speak to you.

Thirty-seven years ago I had a vision of what I determined later to be spiritual masters. In a cloud,I saw what I have described the heads of a Hindu male wearing a turban, a Mongolian male, a Chinese male, an African male, a Native American chief, and a Carmelite nun. I now speculate that the Hindu may have been a Muslim. There was also another that I neglected to mention and that head without a turban looked like the Hindu Rabindranath Tagore. Through the vision, I gained access to Our Universal consciousness and along with this came supernatural abilities (just awareness) for healing and helping people that I am still realizing. I had been developing my character for quite some time when this happened. For the past thirty-seven years I have lived the lifestyle that granted me the vision.

The Sacred Pipe tells on p. 44-46 about Hanblecheyapi or CRYING FOR A VISION. This is called Lamenting by the Oglala. Some time before the vision I did not realize that I was surrendering to God or The Great Spirit. I was very sad with tears in my eyes and from my heart asked God for strength. I was also accepting and surrendering to myself but I did not realize that at the time. I went on living this attitude. This was not a selfish vanity-like request. Because I had this humble attitude the cloud vision with the Universal Knowing came later.

I developed my character through being honest with myself. I practiced self-inquiry meditation. I performed stand-up comedy(writing and public speaking) while going to college. I studied on the side. I took up nutrition, running, hiking, juggling, bicycling and yoga. I spent time in nature with animals. I fell back on the words of Jesus that I was taught as a youth. This all set the foundation for the mystical event that transformed my life into a person who wanted to honor my family and help the world at large. There are people who know that I stated these intentions. It is said that we are judged by our good works. I took care of my family when they were deathly sick. Because I was opened to so much about humanity I worked behind the scenes to help. For eleven years I wrote many newspaper articles with a Christian and general spiritual uplifting emphasis. I received loving feedback and encouragement from people. I donated to causes. Your awareness expands and you study and learn as you go along. The high spiritual energy of master teachers is received through books and information that comes to a person from having a vision of this nature. My newspaper articles can be accessed through the history of microfilm as some have researched.

Through the vision I realized that everyone in the whole world is just like me inside of their self. We are just in different bodies. We are all the same . We are connected energetically and we need this understanding to be taught from the cradle on up. This KNOWING will eventually unite the world. This will prevent much illness because we will become more sensitive to each other. In the words of Yogi Bhajan “we will become multi-sensory” and this branches into multiple subjects. We are ONE. What I know is ineffable, that is, beyond words (see hypocognition). There is really one spirituality that is one reality.

The great Native American mystic, healer and heyoka (sacred clown) Black Elk had a vision like mine. Black Elk’s imagery was different but the translation is the same. Black Elk’s vision placed him atop Black Elk Peak where he saw all people coming together as one. Black Elk also states that there are not words to describe the full message of visions, thus, hypocognition.

I had, by myself and by accident, performed primal preparations that gave me what could be called expanded psychic primitive knowledge. I realized that these preparations are taught in different ways in all the major traditions. The core principles need to be taught and taught and taught to make us understand each other and lessen disease.

In one of his visions, Black Elk describes being taken to the center of the earth, and to the central mountain of the world. Mythologist Joseph Campbell notes that an “axis mundi, the central point, the pole around which all revolves…the point where stillness and movement are together…” is a theme in several other religions, as well. Campbell viewed Black Elk’s statement as key to understanding worldwide religious myth and symbols in general. Campbell, Joseph(1991)The Power of Myth with Bill Moyers)p.111.

The Winnebago Indians of Wisconsin performed peyote rituals in the 1600’s. These indigenous Earth Keepers, like other Aboriginal peoples around the world, ingested the entheogen, peyote, for the purpose of expanding spiritual awareness. The etymology of the word “entheogen” means “god in the plant.” Young Natives ingested the plant to get closer to the god within or our universal soul. The rituals were, and are, conducted in a sacred context. My father’s (Joe) capacity to understand our cosmic reality expanded greatly during his eight month dying process. My father went into what is called “terminal lucidity.” Terminal lucidity is reaching a “state of honesty and appreciation for all life” because the person realizes they are dying. This state of reality orientation is what young Winnebago Indians were guided to in the peyote rituals. With proper awareness education, this state can be reached early in life without ingesting substances.

In the 1600’s, around Lake Winnebago, native elders conducted sacred peyote rituals. Young men were taken to a lodge where, under supervision, they ingested the peyote. The purpose, of course, is to broaden and deepen their understanding of The Great Spirit that they knew is in everyone and everything. During the time while the peyote was in effect there would be mantra drumming, chanting, lessons and conversations.

During the conversations, the hearts of the young men would open up. They would confess sorrow for wrongs that they had done toward one another e.g., “I’m sorry I was selfish toward you” etc. These rituals expanded their awareness of the overall spiritual field. This is a tribe. The goal of the tribe is to be ONE. One body that is One Universal Consciousness. Today Native’s pray “make us one.” Things were much simpler then. The realization of our energetic interpersonal connections within the overall cosmos were clear to them. The young men were introduced to a loving feeling toward their individual selves, and everybody else all within the entire cosmos, that is, The Great Spirit.

My father suffered from a rare form of cancer. He starved to death. Joe could not absorb the nutrients from the food he ate. He could eat but did not get anything out of it. He had bleeding ulcers that would not heal. He had a succession of blood transfusions until they could not give him any more and he died.

I took care of him during his eight months of suffering. There were nights when he begged me to stay up with him. Some of those nights I was so tired from taking care of him I just couldn’t and I felt bad. I received support from old family friends and neighbors and I made it through without getting a “care giver’s disease.”

Joe went into the state of “terminal lucidity.” He made confessions to me about his whole life. He knew that he was going to die soon and he came clean about everything he could think of that ever bothered him. He set his soul free before he died. I cheer leaded him into the afterlife.

Joe expanded his cosmic awareness late in life. The young Native Americans expanded their’ capacity for awareness early in life. This made me realize that through certain educational awareness programs we could teach the young without substances like peyote. Awareness of the ego needs to happen if a person wants to Wake Up. Entheogens have been ingested since the dawn of time. Many people now-a-days are ingesting the entheogen ayahausca to hurry the purging process.

My dad was sorry that it took him so long to awaken. It was really sad to see someone awaken and then know that they are in a state of grief that they are going to die. He became beautiful. He was seeing beauty everywhere but he was sad. The consciousness movement is working overtime to get US to open up early so we can have a long awakened life. Dad was a Christian. I believe Kris Kristofferson had it right when he penned the song Why Me:

…Lord help me, Jesus, I’ve wasted it so, Help me Jesus, my soul’s in your hand…

Twenty-two years ago my mother had a massive stroke. I had recently gotten through with a major relationship and was staying with my elderly parents. I was in the house when June had the stroke. I was in the position to take care of her. I worked every day for two years taking care of her until she finally died from pneumonia. I never had a full day off. Back when I was nineteen I got into trouble and this embarrassed my parents. Embarrassing my parents bothered them and me for years. My mother never understood the mystical experience that I had that changed my life although she knew that I had transformed greatly for the better.

I was performing stand-up comedy when I was in my late twenties. I accidentally worked on enough character development that calmed down my ego or what is called the false self. I had a full-blown spontaneous mystical experience or kundalini arousal that is described in my blog words-are-traps.blog. This experience greatly expanded my understanding of everything. Everything became clearer. I was out of the fog so to speak. I healed. I realized that almost everyone can heal and improve.

What really happened is that I achieved my Self; and in achieving myself, I achieved the Self of all of US (see my biography). My clarity of perception was rendered so clear that I gained the permanent ability to tell how others need to calm their egos down, or employ character development, enough to get ready to possibly receive what I did from the universe. Most people advance gradually. Everyone does not have a blasting kundalini arousal but I am telling you to intensely work on your self and you will advance quicker and farther than the average person. This will rub off on your children and others greatly. This will be out in the book that I am working on.

It is characteristic for a person who achieves the heightened perception that I have to retreat from the world. That is what I did for many years. You retreat because you have to adjust to seeing through the false self of others. It has been observed that people like me usually work from behind the scenes to help humanity.

June was in a nursing home for the fist three months. I was there every day. She got a bed sore that never went away. You could see her back bone through the bed sore. She went through terrible long-suffering. After three months the medicare ran out and my elderly father and I took her home to care for her. I ran a full in-home hospital-like operation with my father assisting me. This included a Hoyer Lift, wheel chair, overall CNA work, communication with doctors, nurses, aids, social workers, pharmacies, Eucharistic ministers, being a host for visitors, shopping, cooking, getting up at 3:00 am every morning to check her and many other considerations. I hired a professional CNA to assist me in the second year of the operation but I still supervised and worked every day. The aid’s name that I hired was Mary. Mary was a good companion for my mother.

One night when I walked into my mothers room and Mary was washing her hair I overheard Mary say to my mother, “You have a very good son June.”

David R. Hawkins, MD., Ph.D., who has been mentioned in this blog is recognized world-wide as a leading teacher of the way to Enlightenment. His extensive background included 50 years experience in psychiatry. He was an acknowledged leader in research on the nature of consciousness and presented lectures worldwide until his death in 2012.

In his 2006 book, TRANSCENDING THE LEVELS OF CONSCIOUSNESS The Stairway To Enlightenment, 297, Dr. Hawkins mentions that seventy-eight percent of the world’s population is below the calibration level 200. 200 is considered the level of INTEGRITY. 200 is the theoretical level or degree on the Hawkins Map Of Consciousness where we gain the COURAGE to be honest with ourselves and others. We start our real spiritual journey and what it is to be truly human at 200. The quote below from this book explains a severe delusional state that people below the level of INTEGRITY and COURAGE or 200 can fall into:

It is not uncommon for people to destroy their entire lives in defense of nonintegrous fallacies that are carefully nurtured and clung to about themselves, others and the world. Self-deception is an innate defect of the ego/mind, which, without the light of spiritual truth, is self-reinforcing, resulting in destructive consequences that preclude actual happiness. The victim is unable to discern pleasure (derived from the negativity) from actual happiness, which is really unknown by such people. This pathological complex is so strongly defended that people actually choose to die rather than give it up or even question it’s self-defeating premises. Fortuitously, this vicious cycle is sometimes interrupted by a confrontational life crisis that ends up being a blessing in disguise. 343-344.

I knew a man who took up practicing the art of oil painting in the early years of his marriage because he had talent for it. After he took up oil painting he began repeatedly hearing his own voice call himself an “asshole.” For example, he could be walking down the street and this could happen. He went to the doctor and was diagnosed as having schizophrenia and was put on medication for the rest of his life which was about fifty-five more years. He did not have schizophrenia. The mental and emotional freedom that practicing the art was giving him was releasing his spirit from prison. This was the kundalini energy rising within him and getting him to start examining his conscience and starting him on his true spiritual journey. I am happy that the medical profession is getting wake up calls.

Great Spirit please make us realize that you are in us and in everything. Give us peace. Make us realize your/our universal consciousness. Make us know that we are not separate. Make us know that we are all related and that everything is connected. Make us see and feel how and when we work against this connection. Make us unafraid of being alone in silence. Give us the loving strength to honestly examine ourselves. Guide us through our examination of ourselves. Help us to not be afraid of ourselves. Help us to bravely face ourselves. May we go deeper and deeper within ourselves. May we clearly hear and feel your love within ourselves. Help us to not block parts of ourselves during the examining process. Help us to lovingly correct ourselves. Give us the strength to admit when we are wrong. Help us to understand that this process is connecting our minds to our hearts. Give us your presence to know where and when we have not connected our minds to our hearts. Help us merge our lower self or personality or ego to our higher self which is you. Make us just you inside ourselves. Lead us to spiritual exercises. Make us prayer. Make us calm inside ourselves. Give us your steady presence. Make us whole inside ourselves. Make us realize that the more we progress the clearer we hear and feel you inside of us. Make us know that we are unique beyond comparison. Make us realize that we are beautiful. Make us realize that this is part of what is meant to overcome the world. Help us see and sense that it is the same you behind personalities. Make us realize that you/we are in our different bodies and that we are just under different conditions and at different levels of awareness. Help us understand each other. Help us know where and when we obstruct you with the ego. Help us overcome the ego. Help us forgive ourselves. Help us realize that we cannot help our actions. Help us get a hold of ourselves. Strengthen us to surrender to you. Help us overcome the world. Make us realize that we are the universal self or the same self in all is you. As we progress in loving understanding of ourselves please gracefully strengthen us so we can recognize ourselves. Help us realize that we are everyone. Help us to understand our higher mind or intuition. Help us sense that it is our higher mind or intuition that sees universal patterns about us and that we are each other. Through our loving examination and unblocking or correction of ourselves help us merge ourselves with the love which is you inside us. Make us one or whole or complete and steady inside ourselves. Help us love ourselves that we may transfer our healthy love to all. Make us strong. Give us peace. Please help us Great Spirit.

We hear people who have been hurt by someone say, “I will never be able to forgive that person as long as I live.” Many people linger in a “psychic cemetery” of the Past for their entire lives unable to forgive. This is in no way healthy for us and those around us and this includes our pets. Psychosomatic illness comes from not forgiving. The Course in Miracles says that “All disease comes from a state of non-forgiveness,” and that “Whenever we are ill, we need to look around to see who it is that we need to forgive.” We are in an imbalanced mind-body state when we do not forgive. When we do not forgive we are unconsciously and consciously carrying negatively emotionalized feeling, or energy, in our cell tissue and nervous systems. This negativity needs to be purged by true forgiveness from our bodies for our health and for those around us. Purging the past puts us back in Present Time. This is what Jesus was telling us.

While we are moving up in conscious awareness, we forgive our self. We realize that we could not help what we did to others because we were not conscious of our self among others. We felt separate from everyone. We are then able to forgive others because we realize that others cannot help what they did to us either. This is realizing the Self in all. We all have the same model of inner self. We do not feel separate from others anymore. Our spirituality is growing up. We are Awakening. This realization raises the love we have for our self and we are able to send higher love to others. This is the beginning of mature awareness.

Through understanding the purging process of forgiveness we are battle ready for the future. We know how to stay in Present Time. We are healthy. Thank you for your love of mankind Jesus!
